The setting of Le Relais Du Soleil D'or is lovely. We enjoyed the pool very much and the town of Montignac. Our room was comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning in the new section we were in, because it was very hot there! The staff was friendly and helpful. The gardens lovely. Would definitely return.
We had a very below par meal in the cafe/brasserie at the hotel. We did not eat there again.

Very convenient location with secure parking. Light and airy breakfast room.Very welcoming and helpful staff who allowed me to practise my French.
The toilet has seen much better days with stains ingrained in the pan. Thought the cost of the breakfast was a little steep.

Room was clean and cool, large enough for two. Next to all attractions of this town.
TV could have had a few English channels.

10 years ago, We had best break in this hotel. But now ........
Superior room is attic and quite hot in summer. (hit my head on low ceiling several times) Windows are like hatch and view is quite far from the description. ( just see sky and roofs)

Location, security of car, peacefulness.
Spent a lot of time in evenings looking for a staff member so as to order a drink from the bar. Bar left unattended for long periods.
